I rewatched this movie for the first time in a long time recently and all throughout the movie I remember saying to myself, “Man, this is a great f___ing movie!”

In my opinion this is one movie thats better than its original

Keith Gordon was phenomenal in Christine. His ability to manifest arnies emotions is insane. A lot of movies has cheesy acting in these days. Keith Gordon was a very gifted actor and really cared about the role.

7:38 both Robert Patrick and Xander Berkley (John Conners foster dad) would end up in The Walking Dead.

I saw only small parts of Space Camp. Very forgettable movie. Didn't help that it came out around the Challenger disaster. All I remembered was the Dire Straits song Walk of Life in it that's all.

Also, there are plenty of scores to movies that are absolutely beautiful and extremely recognizable. But there is something about the Terminator theme that stands on it's own. It tells a story just by listening to it, it's easy to get lost in it.

The only sequel that is on the same level of Aliens and Empire Strikes Back.

This has to be one of the greatest action movies of all time. The 80’s and early 90’s rocked when it came to action movies. We will never have it that good again at the cinema. I have the LTD German steel book edition on HD DVD. It even has 6.1 DTS surround sound and sounds amazing. Thankfully I still have my Toshiba XE1 HD DVD player and about 250 movies in that format. The only bad thing I find with HD DVD is they scratch far too easily as they don’t have much of a protective coating on them compared to Blu-ray Discs. I still think HD DVD format has a better quality picture compared to standard Bluray though and the XE1 is just exceptional and goes hand in hand with my Oppo 203 4k player for all Blurays.

I still have that talking figure (out of the box and well played with), but still working like new.

Wow, amazingly topical. I just went to a meet and greet event with Robert Patrick. Got my photo with him and all. This was followed by a screening of T2 on the cinema screen. The movie still holds up some 30 odd years later

Fun fact i grew up born and raised in Phoenix, and my dad was an extra in the audience during their presentation, and I can point him out in the crowd and I use to go to the mall they filmed in unfortunately it closed down a dew years back

Sad to read that Linda Hamiltons twin sister died in 2020.

The cut scenes that should have stayed in the theatrical release were the one where Sarah and John remove the T-800's CPU chip and switch him to "learning" mode... for one, the crafting of that scene and the clever use of Linda Hamilton's twin was just amazing for that sequence.. the visuals and FX along were amazing... but it also better explains why Arnie starts learning like he does... it's a better explanation than, "he simply just starts to learn" all of a sudden. It is also a good character moment for both John and Sarah... with mom stopping and listening to her "someday to be leader" son. I also like the parts at the end where the T-1000 is "glitching" out and having trouble after being frozen. It better explains his actions and decisions near the end. For instance, when he impales Sarah's shoulder and is torturing her to call to John... why didn't he just execute her, then replicate her and do it, himself? I think the "glitching" bits give an excuse to that action... maybe he is having trouble in that moment of doing his replication... which is basically proven when he does finally try to replicate Sarah, but fails to be completely convincing with his feet camouflaging somewhat to the floor. All in all, I wish those two things were left in the movie, as I think they actually added to the story. The rest of the stuff was fine to go to the cutting room floor, to be honest.

At least on the US extended cut dvd there’s like a code or sequence you can put in on the menu screen to access the theatrical release.

This is one those times where they cut the right scenes out. I don't like one single scene that's not in the theatrical release. That alt ending looked so bad. Arnold trying to smile was bad. Every one of them made the film worse because it's pretty close to perfect as is.

i played that arcade game so many times, in a small arcade that had mostly older games, so wasn't very busy, me and my friend would go play that one game just about every week for many months. the team mates in front were so annoying, always in the way.

since this is a reload with edits and new stuff... it's like Minty came from the future (of this video) to help save the video world.... or something like that i'm sure is probably classified information about a technology we need not know about. and when he past Minty said at the end "i'll be back!" he was right. 😀

The alternative ending matches really well. At the beginning you see the park. Then you have the dream sequence. So it all ties together when at the end you see Sarah sitting in the same park talking about the future. I still think the following “sequels” would have still fit. Multi verses exist after all. I still like the theatrical ending with the highway. Just saying that could have worked had it been allowed.
